A legacy of fishing expertise.
For more than 50 years, Capitán Galo has dedicated his life to understanding the ocean. Long before he became known as a fishing guide, he earned his living as a commercial fisherman, supporting his family as one of Guanacaste, Costa Rica's traditional artisanal fishermen. Throughout his career, he has harvested lobster and octopus, caught reef and pelagic fish using traditional methods, spearfishing, and handlining, and worked the coastal waters around Playa Conchal, Flamingo, Brasilito, and the Catalina Islands with the skill his mother taught him as a child.
